Cari Roy’s life so far, has been a melodic blend of mind matters and music; taking her on a journey encircling the globe and allowing her to feel at home anywhere that she hangs her hat. Born in Philadelphia, Ms. Roy was raised in New York, but traveled the world as a child, with her parents, permitted by her father’s profession as an opera singer, the lead grand Basso, with the New York City Opera Company. Ms. Roy’s inclination to perform may have been heightened by her father’s success. She began singing in the Childrens’ Chorus of the New York City Opera Company, and in college, went on to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in Theatre with a Minor in Theology. As a classically trained actress, Ms. Roy performed the classics on stage, from Greek Tragedy to Shakespeare. Ms. Roy’s adult singing career however, took roots in the Blues. She has shared the stage with some of the world’s greatest Blues Legends like Albert Collins, Johnny Copeland, Solomon Burke and Hubert Sumlin. Her love of music and singing allowed her to embrace Jazz, and again, has shared the stage with legendary Jazz Greats. Ms. Roy recently released her latest CD entitled SO NICE; a collection of some of her favorite romantic jazz standards.

As an internationally acclaimed, professional psychic medium, Ms. Roy’s natural abilities allowed her to create a life path similar to her relatives that proceeded her. Ms. Roy’s grandfather, a numerologist and astrologer, was instrumental in the New Thought Movement that prevailed during the turn of the previous century. Ms. Roy’s mother, created her own identity as a Spiritualist Leader. As a young child, when the third generation psychically enhanced Ms. Roy demonstrated her own gifts of mediumship and prophecy; both were recognized by her elders and she was positively encouraged to continue to develop and flourish, utilizing her enhanced Psi abilities.

In her late teens, after the death of her mother, Ms. Roy realized completely that she was destined to continue the ‘family tradition’ of applying her abilities for the good and assistance of others. Not taking this career path lightly, Ms. Roy spent several years working at evolving and amplifying her abilities of mediumship and prophecy in order to begin her calling as a professional Clairvoyant in New York City. The word of her accurate intuitiveness spread like wildfire and Ms. Roy saw her clientele grow vast quickly.

Early on in her professional clairvoyant career, Ms. Roy earned the reputation of being a ‘Psychic’s Psychic’. In addition to the impressive list of psychics that consult with Ms. Roy for their own means, her clientele over the last twenty years, spans the gamut of professionals; from CEO’s and entrepreneurs, creative artists to working women, psychologists to ministers. Ms. Roy is quoted, "I love human ‘beingness’ and hope that what I do best, is to understand, affirm, guide and nurture each and every client on their individual, beautiful, meaningful and unique path." Peppering her honest assessment of her goals with her innate bend toward levity, Ms. Roy adds a playful, albeit truthful statement supported by her extensive and impressive track record, "Plus, I have a pretty high accuracy rate."

Shortly following the beginning of her professional intuitive career, Ms. Roy was featured on news programs and radio broadcasts throughout the Northeast region of the United States. But the world travel she enjoyed as a child, beckoned her to engage in adventures that would again, broaden her horizons throughout other parts of the world. After traveling again throughout Europe, she briefly settled in England while researching the historical basis for the Arthurian legends as well as Druidic history, and then continued on to Switzerland, where her maternal lineage is rooted. In the early 1990’s, during a visit to New Orleans, Ms. Roy recognized her true spiritual home and relocated to America’s most European influenced city. It wasn’t long before Ms. Roy’s reputation as a professional Clairvoyant spread throughout New Orleans and her path crossed that of Parapsychologist Dr. Larry Montz of the ISPR during his six year paranormal research study of the city and surrounding areas. Ms. Roy passed all field testing employed by Dr. Montz and she soon became a leading field clairvoyant with the ISPR. Ms. Roy was a prominent field investigator for Dr. Montz and the ISPR, on numerous investigations of properties in the private and commercial sectors of New Orleans, as well as the four properties owned by internationally famed author and New Orleans notable, Anne Rice, including her private Garden District residence and the former St. Elizabeth’s Orphanage.

As the end of the ISPR’s six year research study in New Orleans drew to a close in 1997, Ms. Roy’s personal and professional objectives carried her away from the ISPR. Almost six years later, when the ISPR implemented an innovative and one of a kind international search to fill a team investigator position, Ms. Roy appeared back on the scene. After brilliantly passing all Psi and field testing, Dr. Montz welcomed Ms. Roy back with a permanent position on the ISPR Investigative Field Team. Ms. Roy is a featured ISPR Clairvoyant in the Summer 2003 release of a new series of documentaries, filmed in the Big Easy.

For personal and professional considerations, Ms. Roy now divides her time between New York and New Orleans. In her dwindling spare time, she still strives for further knowledge and understanding through her continuing studies of comparative religions, world mythology, ancient civilizations, Jungian psychology, existentialist philosophy, eastern mysticism and the creative processes. Ms. Roy balances her heavy emphasis on profound studies by taking time out to shoot some pool and complete New York Times Crossword puzzles.

When asked to sum up her life so far, Ms. Roy’s direct sense of humor prevails, "I don’t know whether it is A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder), or the desire to live a full life, but I have done a great deal of stuff. Life is a Banquet you know!"
